Read what our customers have to say about us…Marc and crew are awesome! This is our second project with him. First was siding job 10 years ago. Still looks new! The impressive thing with Marc, is the time he spends with you before and after the sale. No high pressure. He educates you in the product he sells along any potential competitor product you may mention. Very knowledgeable in the industry he serves. If you are remotely thinking about windows or siding, Clearview is the way to go. Guarantee you will not be disappointed! My house is proof. Come on by and take a look!
Clearview Windows and Siding always do a great job. We have used his company three times and they offer great service and support before and after the sale. Marc is very knowledgeable about the products he sells and on energy efficiency concepts. His installation team is very good with careful installation and cleaning of the job site once they are done. I like that they insulate around the windows with foam. Marc is very responsive by phone and email. Overall we are very pleased with Clearview Windows and Siding and recommend that you explore the products and the competitive prices they have to offer.
We knew when we purchased our home a few years ago that we would need new siding. We had the fiberboard siding that was part of the big recall, and the bottom couple runs were badly deteriorating as was some of the fascia trim boards along the roof line. The work we wanted to be performed was to install .44 vinyl siding (no real preference on brand) over our existing siding, install soffits and fascia and replace all gutters with high capacity gutters and gutter guards. As part of the siding project, we asked that they replace all window trim and shutters, install new ridge vents, flash over our the exposed brick ledge and install PVC window headers above 4 front windows. We only had them tear off the bad lengths of siding and leave the rest, the vinyl was placed over the old siding. In planning for this project, I scoured Angie’s List and got 8 bids from the top A rated companies with the highest number of reviews. It took a couple months to schedule all of the appointments, but it was worth it. The lowest bidder came in around $16,500 and the highest was $32,000. Clearview was one of the higher rated companies that came in with one of the lowest bids. Clearview was on of the earlier estimate appointments, so we were still refining what exactly we wanted. From the initial meeting (which was easy to schedule through Angie’s List), i was very comfortable with Marc (the owner). He personally came out to get the specs of the project that would make up the estimate. I walked him around the house and told him our plan. He offered up a number of great suggestions that I had not thought of and had him add them to the bid. The estimate itself took a few days. After receiving the remainder of the bids, it was an easy decision to make. Clearview had great reviews and a competitive bid. Marc came back to the house with the final contract to talk through some last minute details and discuss project timing. We gave him a deposit for 1/3 of the project and he left us with color samples. Over the next couple weeks we had a few changes and clarifications that we handled via email. The project was scheduled to start at the beginning of March, but didn’t get started until a couple weeks later. Siding projects are weather dependent, so any delays for weather pushes everyone. Materials were staged in the driveway and we knew this ahead of time. Once the crew got started they worked quickly. They cleaned up as best they could after each day, but there will likely be a few stray nails and cuttings here and there. Any questions they or I had were quickly addressed. All decisions that needed to be made by us were known well in advance through an email or phone call from Marc. Between Marc and the project manager, there was someone available to answer questions and address concerns, and they were always quick to respond. Overall the project was estimated to take 2.5 weeks, but ended up taking about 3.5 due to weather. In the end, the house looks amazing… like new. We’ve even had people stop by and comment on how good it looks. I highly recommend Clearview to anyone in need of new siding, we couldn’t be happier.
Marc Kabak and Clearview Windows and Siding did an outstanding job recently replacing our windows and siding. Marc spent endless hours helping us sort through options and we ended up with windows and siding that we and our neighbors love. Marc and his guys were always timely and great to be with. They were good with our kids and our dog and always left the site clean and free of clutter. Doing a siding project in the middle of winter was not easy task but they were always there when there wasn’t snow on the ground even if really cold. Basically the crew that did the work, worked very hard and did a great job. Marc, who I believe is the owner was very flexible and was always fully committed to making sure the product was of exceptional quality, installed properly, and that we were happy with selections made. When there were times in retrospect we were not happy with our choices, Marc was flexible, fair, and made sure changes were made and we were happy and excited about the end product. I would highly recommend Marc and Clearview siding for any window or siding job you might have. They were great!
Our home had Masonite siding on it, with the original windows from when the subdivision was built, about 20 years ago. This really means that the windows were leaking air with drafts, and I was constantly fighting rotting (or waterlogged and crumbling) siding. Since I have lived in the house for about 18 years, I was familiar with every window draft, and every area of the siding that was struggling to stay dry or not fall off altogether. Clearview Siding and Windows exceeded my expectations in every aspect! From the initial consultation, to the installation of the windows and siding, to the follow up and wrap up after the job was complete. What really sets Clearview apart and separates them from all of the other contractors was that their extra exceptional customer service. It is unmatched by any other contractor that I have ever dealt with in my lifetime. The consultation was absolutely no pressure, the installation crews were very very courteous, efficient, very experienced, and the completed job was extremely of the highest quality and workmanship. We are very, very happy homeowners!!!
The job was completed in two phases. The first phase consisted of the window installation. The second phase consisted of the siding installation. The window installation set the tone. The installers were knowledgeable, friendly, and heavily experienced. They explained everything that they were doing and why it was going to improve the insulation of the home. The installed windows are beautiful, and now, the inside of our home is eerily quiet! The soundproofing is unbelievable, and there is no longer any condensation found on the window or the pane on cold or wet days!
The bigger part of the job was the siding installation! On the first day, again, the installation crew explained to me what they were doing, leveling the sides, installing the siding, etc. I had spots on the house that I was concerned about because they were damaged by excessive rainwater runoff (my original guttering could not handle the water capacity during heavy rains). Not only did Clearview address my concern, but they also arranged for me to meet with the guttering foreman and plan out a new guttering system, that now handles the job easily. It was recently tested during our historic December 3 day 11.5 inch rain storms in St. Peters. Absolutely, dry as a bone in the house, with no water leaks or concerns anywhere!! This was my greatest concern, and it was eliminated by Clearview.
The product that was used was excellent. It was an insulated wide panel siding by Royal Products. Additionally, the installation crew, went out of their way to install the product with no flaws, extremely clean workmanship, and a downright beautiful look. Additionally, we have a California look to our house with “arch” fixtures over the front window frames. Clearview maintained this look and installed a Polyurethane panel on each window that were custom cut. I was worried because they really needed to be perfect. In the end, not only were they installed perfectly, they look better that the original arch panels.
From the consultation, to the preparation prior to any work being done, to the water diversion on the roof, the redesigned guttering to improve rainwater handling capacity, to the custom cut and installed window arches, and last but the most important, the best customer servicing………….I would highly recommended Clearview Windows and Siding. It is a guarantee that the job will turn out great and a wise investment.
Since this was such an expensive project we got 6 proposals and spent quite a bit of time researching trying to determine what we wanted to do. At first we thought we wanted to go with Hardie Plank boards, but then realized that it was incredibly expensive. So we switched to looking at insulated vinyl siding, but then we agonized over whether we should replace the existing siding or install the new siding over the old. Armed with a list of references from several contractors, we spent hours driving around the area looking at other houses that had installed over the old siding and others that replaced the old. This really helped us make several key decisions. We only wish we had done it earlier. We decided to install over the old siding for 2 reasons: it was less expensive and we thought it would increase the R value of our walls. In our house the insulation in the walls is not very good.
Marc from Clearview was very patient and was agreeable to doing whatever we wanted. The only problem was that at the time we first met, we didn’t have a clear picture of what our requirements were. When we emailed Marc with questions he was surprisingly very quick to respond with answers. Once we made our decisions, Marc was very agreeable to modifying his proposal. Lead time to start was about 4-5 weeks, about what we expected and wasn’t an issue with us.
The Clearview crew of 3 (sometimes 4) did a great job. The job was estimated to be 5 days but ended up taking 7 days. We were glad that the crew stuck with it, working over the weekend to get the job finished. We were unnecessarily worried earlier in the week that they would get pulled off to go to another job and might leave us hanging. The Crew was great to work with. They were easy to talk to and made sure they exceeded our expectations. For example, we needed to replace a couple of flood lights on the back of the house and the guys did a great job of installing them on the new soffits, under the eaves. They also did a great job of installing the pediment over the front door, which wasn’t easy because of the uneven brick surface.
After the job was completed, we were amazed that the new siding, window shutters and pediment made our house look like it was brand new. We would gladly recommend Clearview to anyone.
Once I selected Clearview for the job, Marc was very helpful in scheduling the work for a date that worked well for my family. He set very clear expectations on how the work would be performed and an approximate schedule. He kept in touch with me on a daily basis to let me know how the work was progressing. When his crew encountered something unexpected during the project (pre-existing condition), Marc shared with me the problem and provided me with some options and gave me some time to get the issue resolved (1 – 2 days). Marc and his crew kept making progress while the other contractor (worked to fix the pre-existing condition.
Even with the 1 – 2 day slowdown, the project completed 1 week earlier than Marc had predicted which was great! The quality of workmanship was exceptional and I couldn’t have asked for a better company to work with on this major project. I will refer Marc and Clearview siding to anyone I know looking to replace siding on their home.
Replaced basement windows, installed new Craneboard insulated vinyl siding, soffit/fascia, and gutters-
From the beginning, working with Clearview was a wonderful experience. When I called Marc to get an estimate, he never once tried to pressure me into hiring him. He presented me with every option possible for my home project and wanted to help my husband and I find the right fit for our home. He is very intelligent about the products that he works with and cares about his work. He always answered my phone calls and responded to emails within hours (NOT days). No matter what questions I had, he always answered them respectfully and with kindness. He was also very flexible. We signed a contract in November, and I wanted to wait to start the job in April (which he was happy to accommodate). He continued to follow up with me and ask if there was anything else that he could do to help me. After seeing how much he cared, I knew that Marc was the guy for my home project.
The crew showed up to start working, and were respectful of myself and my home. I also received early daily emails from Marc if weather prevented them from working for the day. The crew was approachable, professional, and worked well together. Every day after they were finished, they cleaned up extremely well. Marc also came by each day to touch base with his crew and myself. I was so amazed and appreciative of the communication that Marc had with myself and his crew. After my home was completed, I saw a couple of things that I wanted fixed, so Marc and his crew quickly fixed everything perfectly without a complaint.
Marc and his crew are professional, respectful, kind, and much more. I felt like I was treated like family through the entire process and would not have done it any differently. I love my home and am so glad that I chose Clearview. All it takes is a phone call for an estimate and you will see what I saw….that Marc is the man for the job.
We hired Clearview to remove our existing Cedar siding and install Crane Insulated vinyl siding, soffit and fascia, and new gutters. Removed all existing siding, addressed exterior problems, and installed all new siding and gutters.
Marc was the most courteous and professional contractor we interviewed. Marc’s bids were thorough and complete with no “gotchas” later on. We were well informed throughout the process and never had a surprise.
On day 1 of the job Marc and his team arrived onsite and conducted a full walk through and discussion with us to ensure the job went well. His project team ensured they knew the job and laid out a plan we all agreed to. Each day they arrived on time, conducted themselves professionally (no foul language, no poor behavior – which with 2 small children was important to us). At the end of each day they had the site cleaned up and ready for the next day. Marc was always aware of any issues before we knew and a plan was in place to address. During weather delays and product delays we were always informed.
We have only had positive feedback on our new siding. The overall look was fantastic and Marc’s recommendations around windows, corner trim, and overall look was spot on. The project was finished on time, in budget, and without any concerns from our side.
Great Job Marc and Team!
Perfectionists read on! I don’t write many reviews simply because there have not been many that have deserved all positives on the job. Marc and his team at Clearview Windows & Sidings deserve the highest review not just because of the excellent customer service but for making the whole process easy. Before I approached Clearview I had already received bids from 5 other installers, so before meeting Marc I had already selected the windows I thought I needed. Thinking I already knew everything, all I needed was a bid! Upon meeting Marc I realized that windows I had selected were not ideal for the location of my home and instead educated me on a better selection for MY home. ( Helping me understand all the glass packages available and how that affected the windows price) Marc was very knowledgeable and if he did not have the answer (very rare) he would get it directly from the Manufacturer and within the hour I would have the answer. Most important of all was there was NO high pressure sales tactics like I encountered with the other bids I had received. As for the installation, I cannot even put into words the excellent team of installers. I felt that the team had excellent work ethics and really cared about what they were doing. and I felt comfort in knowing that the installers cared as much as I did……perfectionists! I could go on and on, but I think if you are a perfectionist and do your homework before big renovations to your home then for windows I would highly recommend Marc and his team at Clearview Siding & Co.
The level of service and the quality of the workmanship provided by the Clearview team was simply the best I have ever experienced with any home contractor. Beginning with the on-site review, assessment and estimate, Marc and his team provided top-notch service, honesty and integrity. We live in an very old house that had been pretty badly beaten up over the years of storms, trees and debris. We were also in preparations to sell our house, and felt that our siding, roof and gutters were a potential liability to maximizing our home’s value. At the same time, we were greatly concerned about over-spending for the work and not being able to re-coup that investment. I can say that in all honesty, the return on investment that we made from Clearview’s work was significant and the quality of the work exceeded anything I could have hoped for. First, Clearview spent several hours assessing our needs – and advising us where we needed to focus the work and where we did not need to invest. Marc (the owner) has been in this industry for many years, and his knowledge of costs, materials, and time was spot on. He had a good understanding of our budget and was able to devise a strategy that would not short on quality for us or the future homeowner. The Clearview crew that came to repair our roof, siding, and gutters was as professional a crew as you will ever see. They arrived at our home at the time they had committed to, where very professional in their attire and extremely friendly to our entire family. Most importantly, they did an absolutely incredible job in an unbelievably efficient time frame. The quality of the work was impeccable — and the result far exceeded our expectations. Clearview is truly at the top of all of contractors in the St. Louis area — and would recommend them to any person looking for the best combination of price / quality / professionalism anywhere.
This went well. Marc does everything you wish a contractor would do. He shows up on time, listens to your concerns and addresses then to the best of his abilities. I had a thermal image done in the new windows and they are performing great. 2 items that I wish I had done. 1.) I have a very old home. The pocket that the old window weights sit in is a empty pocket. I wish I had told them to fill them with spray foam. They really show a lot of thermal loss. This would have been extra, but it is the right way to do it. 2.) the window wrap on the outside of the windows will cause me problems in the future. This is the construction of my home and there was no good way to totally encase the wood on the window, again not Marc’s issue, but something to think of when you are replacing your windows. Like I said great job overall and great window. I am very hard to get a A rating out of.
Removed entire old masonite siding around home and replace with new siding/gutters plus cover all fascia boards with custom bent aluminum.
Marc is very professional and extremely courteous. The work started and finished as promised on time. There was a color shade discrepancy in some of the vinyl siding lots which I had not even noticed…. Marc informed and pointed it out to me and then had that wall changed and redone (I would likely have overlooked it, had it not been pointed out to me). The only other issues were some of the wiring of the outside lights that was not working, and one of my kids broke the brand-new weather seal to the garage within a week of the installation. I emailed Marc and he had both of them fixed within 48 hours without any charge. I will be recommending him to some of my neighbors who have asked me.
We contracted for replacement of cedar siding with vinyl siding. In addition we had several windows replaced along with a outside basement door. We made an appointment for an estimate and Marc came out on time and did a through walk around. He explained the various products he handles and the advantages of each. Because we were interested in both siding and windows we chose Clearview based on their good ratings here on Angie’s list as well as the owners knowledge of his product lines and their application to our particular project. The project involved the tear off of cedar siding which added some time to the project. We decided to go with a Crane solid core siding. The window replacements had some unique requirements. Our existing windows had a brown/bronze exterior and wood interiors, which meant we needed a brown exterior and brown interior. Little did we know that finding a replacement vinyl window in a brown/brown configuration would be so difficult. Clearview did an amazing job of finding a window supplier that would meet our needs. Marc, the owner, sent his installer out to measure all the window openings as well as the door we were replacing to ensure the windows and door would be sized correctly. None of the other contractors we received estimates from did not go to this extent and since all the windows as well as the door were non standard sizes we were a little more confident when this was done. The windows arrived on schedule and were a perfect match. The installation went very smoothly. All during the project the installation crews showed up on schedule and there was excellent communication to address issues along the way. At the conclusion of the project, Marc came out several times and asked about any parts of the project that we had concerns about. We pointed out some minor things and he had them taken care of. The crews did a good job of picking up after themselves at the end of the job and we are very pleased with the look of our home. I would not hesitate to recommend this company to anyone.
Hi Marc, Just wanted to write and tell you that I would rate Clearview Windows and Siding a five-star company. You replaced fifteen windows in my 1903 built home this November. And I know old homes are always a challenge to work on, but your crew did an outstanding job. You are a rare find in the contracting industry. You are a man of the highest integrity, honest, professional, reliable, kind, friendly, and was always available to answer any of my questions or concerns. You returned my calls promptly and are a man of your word. You remind me of the “good old days” when you could count on someone doing exactly what they say the will do and doing it with the highest standards. You truly provided service and workmanship unparalleled in today’s service industry and I’ve had my share of contractors on the opposite end of that spectrum. Your crew was made up of the same caliber people. They respected my home and took care to protect it as if it were their own. They showed up on time and immediately went to work. The crew that worked on my project (Bob and Gary) were outstanding. They embodied all the qualities that you possess and evidently require of your workers. It was a pleasure to have them in my home. You and your company are “top-notch”. I will definitely use you again for any other projects that I might need in the future. Only wish you did projects like plumbing and electrical too, that way i would never have to look for another contractor. I would highly recommend you and your company to anyone looking to have the “best contractor” in town, with quality products, and outstanding workmanship. You did a excellent job on my windows and it was a pleasure doing business with you. It meant more to me than words can say to have someone that i could trust work on my home. Thank you so much!!! Wishing you all the best,
Marc Kabak and his team were incredibly professional. Marc was never pushy with the sale of our windows and was very patient while we compared several bids. He always responded with answers to all of our questions in a very timely manner and was very educated in his product. I especially appreciated Marc’s patience while I continuously changed/added to my order during this process. He always provided new bids immediately and never pushed us to purchase more than we had originally budgeted. The 2 days during our install, Marc’s crew was very punctual and quickly got to work tearing out the old windows & getting the new ones installed – despite the 100+ degree temps outside. The crew was very friendly with our inquisitive children and never made any of us feel we were in their way. We were especially impressed with their clean-up at the end of each day. They were very conscientious of our home and property. The crew was very personable and answered any of the questions I had and would go out of their way to further educate us on our new windows. The crew would bring everything they needed each day and didn’t request anything from us. Their finishing work was really great and when we pointed out changes we wanted to make, they were on it quick! Following the install, Marc personally came & walked around the house to inspect. When I pointed out a few warranty issues with specific windows, Marc was eager to assist me – even though it was purely a production issue. Marc continued to follow up with me until Simonton corrected the issue (which Simonton did quickly!) and was always willing to help out. This was our first major home improvement since purchasing our home. Marc & his team have set the bar really high for future improvement jobs! It might be hard to find other service providers who express the same care & concern with future projects as the team at Clearview did. Overall, an excellent experience!
I had three windows on the front of the house (two joined together) replaced, shutters installed, new gutters and downspouts, vinyl soffit and aluminum fascia installed on entire home, and vapor barrier and new siding on the west side of my home that included a new gable vent. My home was damaged in the spring by hail which I didn’t find out until the remnants of the hurricane rolled through here in August and my roof leaked. After dealing with the insurance company and confirming the extent of the damage to my home I found ClearView on Angie’s list and submitted a request for a bid for the work described above via their website. Within two hours I was contacted by Marc (the owner) and had an appointment the next day to walk my property with him to go over options and pricing. Within 24 hours of his walk through Marc provided me with a written quote for the work and materials for the job at my home. Since I was having my roof replaced (see my review of Bone Dry Roofing) it was necessary to schedule my work with Clearview after the roof was installed. Marc and his company were very accommodating with my scheduling needs. The windows were the first thing to go in. A single installer showed up at my home when promised. He was polite and professional and got right to work after getting on site. Within about 4 hours time he had removed the old windows, installed the new, completed the interior and exterior finish work and installed my new shutters (purchased via special order from Lowes). He cleaned up his work area and left my house and yard in the same shape that it was in when he arrived. The windows (purchased through Clearview) are exceptional quality and the installation is perfect. There are no air leaks and the windows operate freely. The soffit, facia and siding were all installed by a two man crew over the course of the next three days. The crew was professional and quietly arrived on site and got right to work. The installation is professional an defect free. They also cleaned up their work site and left my yard in the shape in which they found it. I met Marc the day after the final install was completed to do a final walk through and to resolve any issues (there were none) before making the final payment. Marc and Clearview were a joy to work with; very professional, accommodating, competitively priced and his crews perform exceptional quality work. I’ll be using Clearview to replace the remaining windows in my home over the next 6 months to a year. If you have window, door, siding, guttering that you are looking to get done, I highly recommend calling Marc at Clearview.
We had Marc and his team install fascia and soffits to our house, and we could not be more happy with the outcome. From the initial meeting through installation and follow-up, Marc and his team were very professional and delivered exactly as promised. We feel that we received a high grade product for a reasonable price along with great service. There were no hidden costs or any surprises. For the initial estimate, Marc was able to provide a base estimate and then provide 6 or 7 different options that we could pick and choose from as we wanted. As we customized our order with Marc, we were please to find that all prices were for labor and tax, with no additional hidden charges. Once we agreed on options and price, Marc’s team was able to start work as promised on time. The installation took about 1/2 day longer than originally expected, but this was due to the additional work needed to be done in order to perform the job correctly, at no additional charge from our original contract. After installation, Marc came back out to the house to do a walkthrough. There were a couple of minor points that Marc pointed out himself that he wanted the team to come back out to enhance. These were small details that I would have missed on my own. Again as promised, Marc’s team performed the touch ups as promised. We are extremely pleased with the outcome, and our house looks great as a result. I have already recommended Clearview to others and will continue to recommend Clearview in the future.
Marc, as you know, I spent about a month researching replacement windows. I reviewed Consumer Reports, James Dulley articles (he writes on home repairs for the Post-Dispatch), various sites on the web with general information about windows, and numerous window manufacturers websites. I found a lot of vinyl window (we just weren’t interested in wood) sites on the web, and I learned a lot about windows. I also visited some friends who had vinyl replacement windows installed several years ago. From my research, I decided that the best window for us would have to have foam-filled hollows in the frames for sound and temperature insulation, and would have to have some sort of reinforcement in the meeting rails to prevent /reduce sagging. I also came to the conclusion that, while several of the windows on the market would fit our requirements, the most important differentiator of window satisfaction was the installers, not the windows. I saw a lot of discussion forums where people would rant and rave about the exact same window, and it seemed to me like the most likely reason for the vastly different opinion for the exact same window was a good or bad installation. After all of this work, i invited five different window installation compaines to the house for their dog and pony shows. These visits were good int that they gave us a chance to see different windows and how they were constructed and how they “looked.” However, we go an overdose of canned, memorized, flip through the sales presentation book presentations. Some of these folks seemed honest and helpful, and some seemed like real used-car salesman of the worst kind. We got pretty tired of the canned presentations, but it was helpful tot see the merchandise and, in the end, helped us validate the windows we selected were a good window AND a good value. When all this research was done, we chose Clearview Windows for several reasons. First, the windows were available with foam-filled cavities and the reinforcement we wanted, while still coming in at an attractive, but not the cheapest price. Second, you seemed to be a very straightforward and honest guy, you answered our questions, you kept in touch while we were reviewing the other companies but didn’t nag, and you never gave the the annoying “if you sign by this Friday, I can give you a special discount of XX% off of the price” nonsense. Third, we had seen the work your installers did for our neighbor when you did her windows, and we could see that they did a good, neat job of the installation, which i am convinced is a big part of the success or failure of the new windows. When the installation day came, I took off work to “supervise” the installation crew because i wanted to make sure they did a good job. I enjoyed my two days off, and i got a lot of fence-staining done, but I didn’t need to worry about your crew. They didn’t need supervision. They showed up, got right to work, got the job done right and cleaned up after themselves. They really did an excellent installation job. My wife and I are very pleased with the windows we got, and our experience with Clearview Windows was nothing but professional and pleasant. We would recommend Clearview to anyone interested in having their windows replaced.
After remembering Clearview’s total windows and siding work on my home a few years ago, I had them replace all the windows in the homes of my son and my daughter; a total of 28 replacements and one additional window. Each project was estimated, measured and completed. I also had Marc Kabak return to my home to replace the decayed porch posts with structural aluminum which matched the existing soffits and guttering as well as replace four casement windows. Clearview Windows and Siding has performed again to perfection. Marc provided quick, clear estimates for all three projects. The locally-manufactured windows and porch posts arrived quickly and looked very professional. The installation crew was fully aware of their tasks and completed everything ahead of schedule. Their efficiency complemented their skilled performance. The subsequent in-home quiet and the shorter cycles on their furnace and air conditioning units attest to the quality of product and workmanship provided by Marc Kabak and his crews. I could not have done better. They stayed late at my daughter’s home the first day because rain would have prevented any outside sheet metal work on the scheduled second day.
We had (2) projects done by Clearview. First we had fascia and soffit installed on our two story home. Later, we had a new front door ordered and installed by Clearview. If I have to spend money on my home, Clearview is one of my favorite companies to deal with. I hate high pressure sale types and Marc (Owner) is just the opposite. He is easy to deal with and will give you nothing but the truth. Sat down both times with my wife and myself and went over everything in details regarding the work to be done. Responded quickly to all my e-mail and phone questions. His installation teams, on both jobs, were on time and did a wonderful job as well maintained a clean job site. Could not be more pleased with the front door and siding work. Marc also followed up on both jobs by stopping by during and after the actual installation. I also referred Clearview to a friend. This is a very professional company in a field filled with all types of operations. You can rest assured you are getting the highest quality and professional service when you sign on with Marc and his staff. I highly recommend Clearview.
My wife , daughters and I have lived in Ballwin, MO for the past 14 years. As the girls have grown up, finished college, married and moved on with their lives, my wife Janie and I felt the time was perfect to start updating the house. Try to visualize a 38 year old ranch style home with outdated and slightly warped Masonite siding, older style colonial blue trim paint, original aluminum guttering and aluminum drafty windows in the back of the house. Janie and I finally decided, after much discussion that we truly wanted to work with one company, preferably a local one that could address all of our needs in one project. Several months prior to this most recent decision we had a immediate need – a sliding glass door that no longer could be secured. Our first encounter with Clearview Windows and Siding Co., came as a result of this sliding glass door project. In one day, the original slider was removed, replaced with a very durable, double security door that provides the appropriate safety assurance. And, all of the waste materials generated from the project were removed! Janie and I appreciate the time you spent describing the products available, including the windows, siding, soffits, fascia boards and guttering that we would eventually have installed by Clearview. We sent numerous emails to one another keeping constantly updated. A very important point i would like to share with potential customers is that the quality of the materials and workmanship by your staff is exemplary. Your employees exhibit a strong work ethic and professionalism and the finished product is something of which Janie and I are very proud. Marc, I am very pleased with our “new” house and quite frankly, amazed at the transformation. Neighbors are continuing to stop and admire and I share a glowing testimonial of the Clearview Windows and Siding Company. Best Wishes,
Clearview Windows & Siding was amazing! Their service was very professional. They were polite, personable and fast! I really appreciated the fact that they cleaned up as they went along, and you couldn’t even tell they were there to replace ALL of the windows in the house! It was nice to see the president of the company follow thru with every step. The windows are super nice, too! I love it! I have already noticed a change in the performance of my air conditioner. I would recommend Clearview to anyone who wants their windows replaced!
Mold was growing in the walls and window box of a house I bought last year. Marc Kabak was one of several Angies List contractors I had come out to survey the situation and make recommendations. All recommended replacing the 40+ year old cedar siding that was visibly rotting. All recommended replacing the bedroom window box. Given broken window tracks, woodpecker damage, and other issues, the consensus was to replace the wood with vinyl siding, three windows, rebuild one window box after mold was addressed, and trim the existing windows in complementary white trim. I also asked Clearview to fix separated flashing at the chimney where rain literally poured down the wall through the summer and address flashing issues on the sunroom skylights. This was an extraordinarily good experience, at a time when I had just about had it with house problems. Other Clearview reviews seemed nice; but I don’t know if one can communicate the education, choices, attention to detail, financial considerations, patience, advice, and professionalism that Marc Kabak demonstrates. He brought over extensive samples, made recommendations as to quality within my price range, and advised me what to watch out for (setting reasonable expectations for me). When I asked about mold remediation, he indicated this wasn’t his field–then not only went out and did the research, but made arrangements for certified backup before the job started. The estimate was fully within what we’d discussed, his group did all the work promised, and details I’d not noticed were attended to without fanfare. They were ON TIME, even though that meant working long days in rain or near-freezing temps. He followed up with me as to my satisfaction, walked about the property before I could even review it myself and corrected minor finish issues–and was a pure joy to work with, all around. While I can assure you his group’s work was well beyond my expectations, I think I appreciated it even more when I had a series of problems with a contractor addressing another issue at the house. The contrast made me sharply aware of just how much Marc Kabak and Clearview provide. Hands down: hire this company.
We had all new Crane Solid Core vinyl siding (double 7) and replaced all gutters and downspouts replaced on our home. Marc was very professional and pleasant to work with. He was prompt with his estimate and always returned calls and e-mails quickly. The bid was competitive with other contractors. When planning to have the work completed, we told Marc about our summer vacation plans. He worked with his schedule to complete our project before we left (much sooner than we had expected!). Throughout the project, the workers were very professional and responsive and left our property clean at the end of each day. Marc and Bobby, the crew chief, walked around with us to ensure that all was completed to our satisfaction. The finished result is beautiful. We would highly recommend Clearview and plan to contract with them in the future for window and door replacement.
Even more satisfied customers…
The paint on our 40-year-old board-and-batten siding was peeling off and the gutters were in poor repair. Painting our rambling ranch house (3,000+ sq. ft.) was estimated to cost about $10,000. We chose Crane board-n-batten solid core siding (mocha) to preserve the vertical architectural details, which we emphasized by using slightly darker trim (clay). The solid core siding also improves the insulation. Marc Kabak did an excellent job in guiding us through this project from explaining the options available at the beginning to ensuring that the custom work we wanted was completed to our satisfaction. Four workers completed the initial tasks of removing the old battens and installing most of the siding. They were able to integrate some opaque panels into an exterior wall to allow more light into an enclosed patio area, and built a gate for that area. They also constructed a separate partition on the side of the garage to hide an air conditioner and the trash cans. All work was done on time and every effort was made to leave the site clean.
ClearView replaced all of our windows, vinyl siding, soffit, fascia and gutters. They reinforced the exterior of our home with plywood and re-wired all of our exterior fixtures. Overall, I have only great things to say about Marc Kabak and Clearview. My wife and I ended up purchasing a ”money pit” of a home that needed much more renovation than originally estimated. After interviewing several exterior companies, we selected Clearview because of Angie’s List and our visit with Marc. With the many issues my wife and I discovered after buying our home, we were especially sensitive to having repairs/improvements done properly the first time and Clearview was very receptive. Marc was always available by phone (we spoke often) and made 3-4 site visits during the project. His window and siding crews were courteous and delivered as promised. This was a significant investment for my family and Marc understood our concerns wanting the best possible workmanship. As is the case with many projects, new issues arise after the project has begun. Marc and Clearview were extremely attentive. I would highly recommend them.
YOU CAN STOP LOOKING FOR A WINDOW REPLACEMENT COMPANY IN ST. LOUIS BECAUSE I’VE FOUND THE BEST! PLEASE CLICK ON THE OTHER REPORTS SUBMITTED BY THIS MEMBER LINK BECAUSE THEY ALSO DID THE SIDING, SOFFITS/FASCIA ON OUR HOUSE AND SINCE WE HAD EVERYTHING DONE AT THE SAME TIME, OUR OVERALL CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE IS DESCRIBED IN DETAIL ON THAT REVIEW. Now for the specifics regarding the windows. Our house was built in 1965 and it still had the original wood frames when we moved in which happened to be cracking and painted shut. When Marc came out for the estimate, he gave us several choices to choose from in a variety of price ranges because we were replacing a total of 8 windows. One of them was a basement casement window that was accessible from the outside but do to a finished basement was sealed from the inside so we had four basement casement windows on the outside and three on the inside so we initially didn’t think that we would be able to replace that one but sure enough Marc did. Some research and consulted with his window expert Phil (very nice and knowledgeable) and they came up with a way to replace it with a storm window knowing that they only had access from the outside so we were very impressed with there ability to think outside the box to make the customer happy. When the crew came out to do the work, they were on time, finished quickly and cleaned up when they were done. As I mentioned earlier, please take a look at our siding review of Clearview because you’ll find out that this company clearly cares about there customers happiness which is a rarity in the home improvement business so what are you waiting for, CALL THEM! One additional note regarding Marc’s commitment to his customers, is he knew we didn’t the funds to replace the windows on the back of our house and they really stood out compared to the new ones so he had his crew install new capping around them to make them look nicer. These little touches set Clearview apart from the rest. Overall A, Price A, Quality A, Responsiveness A, Punctuality A, Professionalism A
Clearview removed and hauled away existing wood siding, wrapped home with Tyvek house wrap, installed 3/8″ foam underlayment to help compensate for framing mis-alignments. They then installed Alside Charter Oak Double 4.5″ Dutchlap vinyl siding to home including gable vents. Enclosed all sofits with Alside vinyl hidden vented soffit system. All fascia boards covered with custom bent aluminum coil. Gable Fascia has custom crown mold bend for added rigidity. Covered front porch ceiling with same soffit system and wrap front porch beam with same custom bent aluminum coil. Used same aluminum to custom wrap two 8″ x 9′ front porch columns, two single car garage door frames, wood end boards on front and side of home where brick meets siding and two front window boxes. Removed and hauled away existing gutter system and installed 5″ aluminum seamless gutters with 5″ EZ-Lock gutter screen and installed oversized downspouts and accessories. Removed shutters and installed 5 pair of vinyl shutters. GREAT! When I looked at other reports, someone said, “Don’t look any further”. I hardily agree. If you need siding or windows, this is the company to hire. The owner, Mark, restored my faith that there really are businessmen who still believe in customer service. When he pulled up to my driveway before ever meeting me & seeing that I was struggling with some furniture moving immediately helped me. I knew then he was a gentleman & a businessman who would do whatever it took to deliver customer service. Being newly widowed, he very patiently explained all the business & financial aspects of the job, & was very understanding when a few tears fell on my part from being overwhelmed with emotion at times. He even took me on a “fieldtrip” in my neighborhood to look at different colors to help me make up my mind. His crew was just fantastic. They worked hard & were always respectful, & careful to completely clean the premises each day. I feel I not only have a beautiful home and a new friend
Hi Marc, Just wanted to thank-you again for everything. We appreciated your no pressure sales approach, your ability to work with our financial needs, your flexibility, and the great all around job that your and your staff performed. Thank-you for making the entire experience hassle-free!
Clearview installed new siding and 15 replacement windows. Excellent experience. Marc is a truthful and conscientious person. He explained our options and provided a large number of homes for us to visit or call representing his work. His price was reasonable and the work crews were on time and professional. Marc checks the work almost every day and if he does not like something he changes it until both of us are satisfied. Overall A, Price A, Quality A, Responsiveness A,Punctuality A, Professionalism A
Marc provided siding, soffits, and fascia for the whole house. He installed 17 thermal windows and seamless guttering for the house. In addition he helped me solve two guttering problems which had been sending water into my basement. He added one downspout and tightly overlapped a joint which had been spilling water for years because it had never been done properly. This project went well from start to finish. Marc returned my call immediately and came out for an estimate the first time I was free – I was impressed that the owner of the company would give such good service. Marc is personable and spends the time to find out what you need and what you can afford. He offers to give you as much or as little information as you want. I learned much that was useful in getting other bids. He told me some things I did not need, even if he could have made a sale, and did not pressure me to buy his most expensive products. He brought with him a list of addresses where he had completed work and urged me to look at them and call and see if these customers were satisfied. Without being pushy he followed up on the estimate. The service was so good and I was so impressed with Marc’s honesty that I accepted his bid even though it was slightly higher. His crews were experienced, respectful, efficient, and did a great job. Marc checked in every day. Overall A, Price A, Quality A, Responsiveness A, Punctuality A, Professionalism A!
Dear Marc & Donna, I love my new windows! I loved the personal service & the great installation. If you do any more TV commercials and need any customer success stories, I’m your person 🙂 Thanks again,
My husband and I instantly liked Marc’s laid back approach. He was not like the other salesman we had received bids from. We never felt pressure to “sign on the dotted line” and any questions or concerns we had were addressed immediately. His crew was timely and efficient. This major undertaking was completed within the estimated completion time. Though not the cheapest bid nor the most expensive bid, we felt that the final outcome exceeded our expectation. I would highly recommend Marc’s services.
Dear Mr. Kabak, I wanted to take a moment to thank you on behalf of our family for your assistance in designing and installing our new windows, decorative siding underneath the front windows, and beautiful front door. As you know, we were indecisive as to what products were available and what design we should utilize to best compliment our architecture and decor. Your professional assistance was extremely appreciated and was, in fact, the reason we chose Clearview. We shopped the competition before and after your initial visit and found your company to be the most professional and helpful. Thanks again for your assistance, attention to detail, and excellent customer service. I would not hesitate to recommend Clearview to anyone.
Clearview provided and installed 11 Premium vinyl double hung thermal replacement windows with Low E/Argon energy package and internal contoured grid pattern. Replace sill in bathroom with cultured marble. Insulated between jambs and headers. Capped all exterior wood and interior bathroom wood with aluminum. Also installed 2 picture windows over smaller stained glass windows. Clean up and haul away of existing windows. Marc Kabak and his crew provided first rate, exceptional service and workmanship. Marc’s in home presentation was thorough and informative. He provided a bid at the time of the presentation. No high pressure tactics. He provided liability and workers comp insurance certificates directly from the insurer. Once the order was placed, the work was completed within about 4 weeks (delayed due to rainy weather). They did an excellent installation job with beautiful work on the wood capping and silicone sealing. Clean up was spotless. Marc also came to check in on the crew’s progress during install and to see if I had any concerns. The entire job was done in less than 2 days. Marc also followed up a couple of weeks later to see if there were any concerns and to ensure satisfaction. The work was timely, professional, and completed at bid price. Not the cheapest, but very competitive.
Dear Marc, I’m writing to let you know that I am very pleased with the new siding. The purchasing process was easy and your sales approach was honest and low pressure. The workmanship was great and the siding looks awesome! I stopped by the house several times while work was in progress. The installers where always courteous and responsive to my questions and concerns. When the project was complete my neighbors were very complimentary. I really appreciate how tidy the installers left my yard too. Thanks again for all you have done.
